I love it when people quote me...

Today right before our family prayer Ally said, "My brain is gooey."

Shayla has developed a free spirit when it comes to language. She can say just about anything fairly well, however she likes to come up with her own way to say things. There are also a lot of words that she uses frequently that we haven't figured out the meaning of yet. But here is a list of her current vocabulary that she normally uses.

Night night: bedtime

Nack: food

Blee: a blanket (especially one that she can suck on) Eli has blees too but she won't suck on those (thank goodness)

Hee hee: Your welcome

Gaga: a drink, all drinks, but if you don't bring her the one she wants you are going to hear it or have a drink thrown at you.

Ya Ya: Brya

Ya Ya: Ally

Ya Ya: A reference to herself in a picture if we ask her who it is. Talk about a Ya Ya sisterhood

Ally (like a friendly nation, not her sister): Eli, her baby brother

Dada: right here/there, or anything you can sit or lay on

Mama: Mom or dad.

She knows the word daddy and that Josh is daddy but she still likes to call him mama. She will resort to calling Josh, Daddy if he just doesn't answer her after several tries of calling him mama.

The other day he came home from work and she saw him out the window she said "daddy's home" and when he walk in the door she shouted, "Mama!" I actually think she calls him daddy to me so I don't get confused and calls him mama when she is talking to him.
