It's the Toy and the Meal!

Josh went fishing with a friend today and brought home a couple of rainbow trout from the lake that is a block and a half away from our house. He showed them to the girls and left the fish on the patio for a minute. Ally and Brya went right over and were checking them out, seeing how they felt and eventually started playing with them like they would any other toy. Which also means they got fish gunk all over their clothes since the toys they play with most are Barbies, stuffed animals and babies.

Josh had to eventually stop them so he could clean them up and get them cut down so we could eat them for dinner. They were pretty good too. I still can't believe how much the girls were playing with them. We even had some friends over and their two little boys didn't want to have anything to do with the fish.

Brya was holding the fish and playing with it too, but she set it down for the picture. She had the daddy fish and Ally had the mommy fish.

Here is some proof that Brya had no problem at all picking up and playing with the fish. She didn't get quite as into it as Ally was but she still enjoyed getting some time with it.

This is a good messy-haired shot of just how much Ally was enjoying her fish. She carried it around for the longest time and got the most fish gunk on her clothes.
